The Newark Public Library Teens had an incredible time at this years Teen Book Festival.  Held at Nazareth College the festival welcomed teens to listen, talk, and receive autographs from some of the top teen authors of the year. If you missed the celebration you can click here to see a list of all the authors and books they've written you can stop by the library and check them out.  You can also start getting ready for the Teen Book Festival 2011 by going to the TBF website.

*He was an extra in the movie "Courage Under Fire"; you can just barely catch him in the background of a flashback scene

*He was an Eagle Scout; but he doesn't like the outdoors very much

*While he was in Scouts he was stung by a scorpion in his tent

*When he was little he ate poisonous berries... but was saved by chewing gum!

*Currently he lives in New York City and works as a publicist in the book publishing industry

*Martin enjoys listening to "cheesy" pop songs on his iPod

*He loves to exercise, jog, and watch tennis

*She was born in Rochester in 1951, and has lived there almost her entire life

*Her parents taught her to speak French before they taught her to speak English, but she had forgotten most of the French by the time she went to school so it wasn't all that helpful

*The first book she wrote was A Hidden Magic. She sent it to 33 different companies to get published, only 1 of them accepted!

*She had to have braces on her teeth twice

*In high school when she had to give speeches for class she would practice her speeches by reading them to her stuffed animals

*Even though he loved riding his motorcycle, he hates riding bicycles

*Dogs are his favorite animal

*He was born in 1947
